Wilberforce Heritage Guild, 1991

Restoration of the Wilberforce Red Cross Outpost was the initial project of the Wilberforce Heritage Guild, 1991, a registered charitable foundation established for the purpose of preserving and restoring historic sites as well as collecting and displaying artifacts related to the history of the former Monmouth Township, now Highlands East, and its surrounding area.

In 2000, the Heritage Guild worked with Natural Hertitage Books to publish Gertrude LeRoy Miller's book, Mustard Plasters and Handcars: Through the eyes of a Red Cross Outpost Nurse which chonicles her life as a nurse in Wilberforce. Available for purchase at the Outpost and most bookstores

Membership in the Guild is open to anyone interested in supporting this endeavour. Annual membership fee is $2.00, lifetime membership costs $25.00.
